First and foremost, I hope you and your families are doing well and are staying safe and healthy. I am writing to you in regards to COVID-19 and how this unprecedented moment in history is being handled at CIPAG clinic.

In these moments of uncertainty, I want to let you know that CIPAG clinic is here for you. We are working together with local and state officials to keep updated on the COVID-19 situation in Tijuana, Mexico as well as necessary travel information, requirements, and restrictions. We understand that chronic illnesses don’t stop even when the rest of the world does, so we are remaining open to new and recurring patients in this moment of need. We are not taking this situation lightly and have implemented stronger and more meticulous hygiene and sanitation protocols to keep both the staff and patients safe.

The health and safety of our community are our most important priorities. CIPAG clinic will remain open for all patients so our community can receive their scheduled treatments. Traveling to CIPAG Clinic ?

All of the information provided here has been supplied by Customs and Border Protection and will be updated accordingly. (Updated January 5, 2022)

The USA/Mexico border remains open for both essential and non-essential travel. However, there have been many questions in regards to the requirements for travelers crossing the border. We have compiled a list of the most popular questions from our patients. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us via email or phone call and we can help you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1.- If I am an American citizen, do I have to be vaccinated to cross the border into the USA?
No, if you are an American citizen or a legal US resident, you don’t have to be vaccinated to cross the border.

2.- Is Mexico requiring vaccination?
No, Mexico isn’t requiring vaccination for any international visitors or Mexican residents to cross the border.

3.- Can I fly directly into Mexico to avoid the border crossings?
Yes, there are many direct flights from Canada to different parts of Mexico that have connecting flights into Tijuana. Please let us know if you would like help figuring out travel plans.

4.- Do I need proof of vaccination if I am not a US citizen?
Proof of vaccination at the border is only required for foreigners that are going into the USA for NON-ESSENTIAL travelers. Medical purpose is an essential purpose for traveling. Proof of vaccination is not required at the moment for essential travelers.

5.- Do you have any information about restrictions and requirements for air travel into the United States of America or Mexico?
Yes, we are up to date on requirements for air travel for both USA and Mexico. Each country has its requirements in regards to traveling, so if you have any specific questions, please reach out to us so we can better assist you.


Some patients have been crossing the border daily with no problem at all. We are offering official documentation to anyone who wants to come down to CIPAG Clinic that can be shown to any border official if the need arises, which has not happened to our knowledge.

Hygiene and Sanitation Protocols

Dear friends, we hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy. If you have an upcoming trip to the clinic things might look a little different, we have implemented extra protective measures that have been mandated by our local government. These measures are part of guidelines that have allowed businesses like ours to do what we do best in a safe environment.

Safety Improvements in the Clinic:

  • Shoe sanitation mats have been placed at the entrance of the clinic, as well as hand sanitizing stations.
  • Face masks are mandatory at all times inside the building, except in the privacy of your Casagui suite.
  • Protective transparent films have been placed in all offices including the front desk.
  • The treatment room has been adapted for social distancing protocols, and protective films have been placed between groups of chairs.
  • Temperature checks are done on all staff and patients.
  • COVID-19 testing is available at our laboratory (upon patient or doctor’s request).
  • All public areas including doors and chairs are constantly being disinfected by our cleaning staff.
  • Social distancing guidelines have been placed around the clinic to help guide our patients in maintaining social distancing.
  • CO2 monitors to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of ventilation.
